Tokyo – Bullet Train – Kyoto
A short tour that will introduce you to 2 of Japan’s most famous cities. Enjoy 3 nights exploring Tokyo, a full day tour will give you an opportunity to see the highlights followed by a free day to explore further at your own pace. Board a bullet train to Kyoto where you explore on an eco-friendly bicycle tour of the winding alleyways and renowned geisha districts and enjoy a traditional Japanese tea ceremony.

Day 1 : Arrive Tokyo
Arrive in Tokyo Airport, you will be met and assistance provided for your transfer to your hotel.
Day 2 : Tokyo
Explore the city on a full day tour that includes the Tokyo Bay cruise and a trip up the Tokyo SkyTree. See sights like the Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and the Senso-ji Temple in Asakusa. Your tour utilises public transportation with an English-speaking guide who will share their insights into the city.
Day 3 : Tokyo
A free day of exploration in Tokyo. Alternatively, choose to add an excursion or activity, we can offer a day tour to Mount Fuji, or perhaps a sushi-making class or a sword-cutting class, both offering insights into delicate Japanese arts.
Day 4 : Kyoto
Take the bullet train from Tokyo to Kyoto. Here, take a cycling tour of Kyoto, taking in geisha districts, beautiful ornate wooden houses, willow trees, and the Imperial Palace Park. The guide will share their knowledge of the former Japanese capital. After your cycle tour ends, make your way to a tea house to partake in a Japanese Tea Ceremony called Sado. This is an explanation, demonstration and a hands-on experience of making Kyoto’s famous matcha green tea.
Day 5 : Kyoto
A free day of exploration in Kyoto. There are optional tours available to explore further and enhance your stay. Perhaps a Kyoto half day tour, taking in the shrines and temples of this ancient city, including the world-famous Kiyomizu-Dera Temple, or join a tour to Nara, Japan’s first capital. Nara is full of historical significance, and you will also see the tame deer in Nara Park.
Day 6 : Departure
Enjoy the last morning in Kyoto before heading to the airport for your onward journey.
