Osaka – Tokyo – Nagano – Tokyo
A fascinating 3 city adventure. Travel by train and experience the many attractions that each city has to offer. In Osaka, a walking tour will showcase the amazing sight of the cherry blossom (when in season) and in Nagano a tour takes you to see the Japanese macaque, also known as the snow monkey, a species native to Japan.
Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Osaka
Arrive Osaka, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. We suggest a stay at the Hotel Keihan Namba Grande, a hotel that co-exists with nature in Namba. We can tailor the hotel to suit your preferred location or budget.
Day 2 : Osaka & Cherry Blossom*
Today, join a walking tour of the Karahori district, a true hidden gem where the spirit of old Osaka remains. Mingle with the locals and walk the maze-like back streets to a secret spot where shrines and Cherry blossom trees mix together.
*Cherry Blossom season is short, about one month from the first tiny buds to the finish of the season. Cherry blossom season in Osaka typically begins in late March and extends into the first week of April, these are average dates and the actual timing can vary based on the weather, and for these reasons viewing blossom is not guaranteed.
Day 3 : Tokyo
Check out from your hotel and transfer (included) to the rail station for your bullet train to Tokyo. On arrival in Tokyo check in at your hotel and the day is free for you to explore.
Day 4 : Tokyo
A free day to explore the city. We can add sightseeing if required, choose to add anything from city tours, private tours with English-speaking guides or perhaps a full day excursion to Mount Fuji.
Day 5 : Nagano
Board your bullet train today to Nagano located in the centre of Japan. Check in at your hotel and explore at your leisure.
Day 6 : Snow Monkeys
A full day tour with an English-speaking guide introduces you to Nagano. Visit Nagano's Zenko-ji Temple, filled with history and legend. Enjoy lunch at one of the most popular restaurants followed by an afternoon at the world-famous Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park. The park is inhabited by Japanese macaques, known as snow monkeys. Accustomed to humans, the monkeys can be observed from very close and almost completely ignore their human guests. Please note: This a private guided tour using public transportation.
Day 7 : Tokyo Departure
A transfer will return you to the rail station to board your bullet train to Tokyo, where on arrival, your package concludes.
