• American specialities include Hamburgers, fried chicken and apple pie. 
• Tipping is a common practice in America, suggested tips for restaurants are around 15-20% for a sit-down meal; 10% for a buffet, a service charge may be added automatically for parties of six or more. 

Money & Expenses: 

• All major credit cards are accepted, however, some independent retailer may not accept card payments. 
• Good and service tax varies from state to state. They usually range from 3 - 7.5%.  States such as Alaska and New Hampshire do not charge a sales tax and are popular shopping areas.
