Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Livingstone
Depart Johannesburg mid-morning for flight to Livingstone, Zambia. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, Royal Livingstone (or similar) for a 2-night stay on a bed & breakfast basis. An afternoon at leisure is followed by collection from your hotel for your transfer to the jetty for your sunset cruise. Panoramic views of the mighty Zambezi River at sunset combined with gracious hospitality – create an unforgettable experience that will take you back to an era when time stood still.
Day 2 : Livingstone
After breakfast enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Walk through the magnificent rain forest where you will enjoy views of the largest falling sheet of water on earth and explorer David Livingstone’s statue. Different times of the year will provide completely different experiences of the Falls region. This afternoon is at leisure. Explore the town of Livingstone or book an optional excursion. Excursions to choose from include helicopter flights over the Falls, micro flights, horseback safari, Livingstone Museum tour or Mukuni Village tour. Overnight on a bed & breakfast basis at the Royal Livingstone hotel (or similar).
Day 3 : Chobe National Park
This morning you will take a road transfer to Chobe National Park in Botswana, 100km west of Victoria Falls. Home to 450 species of birds and the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. Your stay at Chobe Game Lodge is on a full board basis. Game activities include drives in 4x4 open vehicles and boat cruises on the Chobe River. Enjoy a late-afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River
Day 4 : Chobe National Park
Today you have the option of participating in morning and afternoon on either land or water. From your 4x4 safari vehicle you will explore parts of the Chobe National Park, your safari viewing may include herds of elephant, Cape buffalo, antelope and giraffe. On the boat safari you will experience closeup encounters with hippo, crocodile, diverse birdlife and watch antelope and Chacma baboons and Vervet monkeys come to the river bank to drink. Overnight on a full board basis at Chobe Game Lodge
Day 5 : Livingstone
This morning you transfer back to Livingstone for the return flight to Johannesburg.
