Self-Drive Tour
This 11-day tour is designed to introduce you to the different sides of this unique destination. Driving distances are kept to a minimum to ensure that quality time is spent at each specially chosen overnight location. Four nights in Cape Town gives lots of time to explore this amazing city, with time to visit Table Mountain and enjoy the many shops and restaurants of the V&A Waterfront. Take a flight to Kruger National Park for a special 3-night stay in the remarkable Sabi Sands Reserve. Daily game drives will take you in search of the ‘Big Five’ - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard, as well as wild dog and cheetah. A short drive takes you to the stunningly romantic Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa, before heading to your final destination, the spectacular Victoria Falls.

Day 1 : Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town Airport you will be met by a representative who will assist you to the car rental location. Collect your car and drive to your hotel. Your accommodation is the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel, located in the suburb of Gardens in the heart of Cape Town’s City Bowl. This original Georgian-Victoria townhouse holds National Monument Status and looks more like a private residence than a hotel.

Day 2-4 : Cape Town
Three full days to explore Cape Town. Spend your days exploring the city and it’s range of sights and attractions. You have car hire included so after exploring the city itself, perhaps drive the short distance to the winelands region or drive along the Southern Cape Peninsula to visit the lighthouse at the Cape of Good Hope, visit the historic village of Simon’s Town and the land-based penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 5 : Sabi Sands, Kruger Park
Return your car today at Cape Town Airport before you check in for your flight* (cost not included) to Skukuza Airport. On arrival at Skukuza Airport you will be met and transferred to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. With no fences between the Sabi Sands reserve and the Kruger Park, big game abounds, moving freely through this unspoiled part of the ancient African continent. The reserve is blessed with a great biodiversity of habitat and wildlife giving an excellent chance of close encounters with the ‘Big Five’ – elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard, as well as wild dog and cheetah. Safaris take place each morning and evening in open safari vehicles which drive through a wide variety of habitats, allowing visitors to view the vast interactions of the wild. After breakfast, guests on guided walking trails can experience the natural environment on foot. The dedicated, highly trained and experienced rangers lead you to discover miracles of nature you may never have dreamed existed.

Day 6 & 7 : Kruger Park
Two full days at the Lodge. Your accommodation at Sabi Sabi is the newest addition to Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve’s family, Little Bush Camp. Encompassing six luxurious suites, all overlooking the riverbed, Little Bush Camp boasts all the features of an exceptional bush lodge - beautiful setting, excellent cuisine and abundant wildlife. Your luxury suite has a private viewing deck and heated spa bath overlooking the riverbed, and is decorated in contemporary African design. Thatched roofs, romantic mosquito nets draped over the comfortable beds and beautiful wooden finishes complete the picture. Included are breakfast, lunch, dinner, selected beverages, day and night game drives, walking safaris, return airport to lodge transfers.
Day 8 : Hazyview
This morning you will be transferred to Skukuza Airport, where you will collect your car for the next exciting part of your tour. Drive the short distance (approx. 40 miles) to Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa, a stunning place to relax and the ideal place for a romantic getaway. Accommodation is in 5-star luxury Tented Suites by the river under a canopy of Jackalberry and Tambotie trees, set in a 100 acre macadamia, granadilla and lychee plantation. The tented suites have uniquely designed bathrooms that open onto the sound of the cascading water, while modern touches facilitate the ultimate indulgence in total comfort.

Day 9 : Victoria Falls
Take the short (approx. 40 mile) drive south to Kruger Mpumalanaga Airport to return your car and check in for your flight* to Livingstone Airport (cost not included). On arrival an included transfer will take you to your accommodation, the Victoria Falls Hotel. The famous Victoria Falls are just a ten-minute walk away using the hotel’s private pathway. There are great photo opportunities against often-spectacular African sunsets. Your hotel is furnished in traditional Edwardian style with an Out of Africa ambience, rooms are tastefully furnished with soft fabrics and warm colours, in tune with Zimbabwe’s celebrated climate and diverse beauty and have spectacular views of the gardens and some overlook the Batoka Gorge and Victoria Falls bridge. Included tonight is a Sunset Luxury Cruise on the Zambezi River, a superb way to relax and enjoy the beauty of the River.

Day 10 : Victoria Falls
Your tour today takes you to the Falls, a truly awe-inspiring experience, the sight, the sound, the smell and the humbling feeling that here indeed is Nature’s Supreme Masterpiece. No photograph can begin to depict the reality, and nothing prepares you for your first sight. You will be accompanied through the Rainforest by a qualified Guide who will give a brief history of the Falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Raincoats are provided when needed.
Day 11 : Victoria
Your tour concludes with a transfer back to Livingstone Airport. We can include onward flights to anywhere in South Africa or arrange connections back to the UK.
