Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Vancouver
Fly to Vancouver and on arrival make your way to your downtown hotel for a two night stay.
Day 2 : Vancouver
A full day to explore the city on your own. Perhaps you’ll head for Stanley park to see the famous Totem Poles, or Granville market to soak up the sights and smells. Gastown and Yaletown are well worth a visit and for shopping head to Robson Street. When hunger pangs strike you’ll be spoiled for choice with a multitude of restaurants, bars and cafes serving an eclectic selection of food from around the world.
Day 3 : Vancouver to Whitehorse
Make you r way to the airport for you flight to Whitehorse. Upon arrival at the airport you will be greeted by a local guide who will welcome you to the Yukon and transfer you to your hotel. Once you have checked in you will receive an orientation meeting describing what to expect during your stay. The rest of the day is yours until your first evening viewing of the Aurora Borealis.
The Aurora Borealis, commonly known as the Northern Lights, is a spectacle of magnetic and electrical charges in the air, colouring the sky a multitude of majestic hues. Tonight is your first chance to view this spectacular show. Departing the hotel at 22:00 in groups, you will be taken to a prime viewing area and treated to snacks and hot drinks during your viewing. Contemplate the sublime beauty of this fascinating array of blues, reds, greens and violets in this idyllic setting as you relax in a cosy heated cabin or walled tent. Return to the hotel at approximately 02:30. You will have another opportunity for viewing tomorrow evening. Overnight in Whitehorse.
Day 4-6 : Whitehorse
On the morning of day 4 you are treated to a tour of the scenic city of Whitehorse, a former gold rush settlement set against a stunning backdrop of mountains. Discover the highlights of this town such as Main Street, the Train Depot of White Pass, Log Skyscraper, Log Church, the Sternwheeler SS Klondike, fish ladders and Schwatka Lake.
On day 5 enjoy a half day dog sledding and experience some of the most beautiful wilderness scenery on the frozen Takhini River, a historic stretch of the Yukon Quest trail. Learn the basics of mushing and drive your own sled, or, sit back and enjoy the ride while the guide shares insights on mushing and Yukon history. Return transfers between Whitehorse hotel and dogsledding site, guide, winter gear (parka, snow pants, warm boots, mittens), hot beverages and snacks after the tour are included. (Maximum 4 sleds per guide).
Each day you are free to relax in the warm comfort of the hotel, or book an optional activity such as ice fishing, flightseeing or snowshoeing. You will have an opportunity to view the Aurora Borealis every evening of your stay. While waiting for the lights to appear, guests are invited to sit at a roaring bonfire, roast marshmallows, have tea and hot chocolate, chat with local guides, try out snow shoeing, tobogganing on a small hill.

Day 7-8 : Whitehorse Departure - Arrive UK
Enjoy a final free morning before heading to the airport to check-in for your return flight.
