Day 1 : UK - Arrive Banff

On arrival into Calgary airport take an included transfer to your hotel in the Rocky Mountain resort of Banff for a three night stay.
 

Day 2 : Banff Sightseeing and Grotto Canyon Icewalk

A morning tour of the Banff area will take you to many of Banff’s landmarks and historical places. This afternoon make your own way to the stables, a short walk from downtown.
 

Day 3 : Banff Snow shoeing

This morning is free to relax or explore Banff. In the afternoon, snowshoe on an easy trail the Paint Pots, a cultural treasure. Along the way you will hear stories of Banff’s indigenous people, explorers and fur traders who lived in and travelled through the Rockies. Afterwards, enjoy a Canadian treat: hot maple taffy poured into snow to make a sweet frozen dessert.
 

Day 4 : Lake Louise

Travel the scenic highway through Banff National Park to iconic Lake Louise. Overnight at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise set beside the lake.
 

Day 5 : Lake Louise to Jasper

The trip to Jasper along the Icefields Parkway through Jasper National Park is a highlight of the trip. Along the way towering snow covered peaks and frozen waterfalls afford a truly magical scenic experience as you journey along the most famous route in Canada to Jasper for a two night stay.
 

Day 6 : Jasper Sightseeing

You’ve a choice of sightseeing today.

Option 1: Maligne Canyon Ice Walk
Take a fascinating 3-hour tour through the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park while walking on the frozen floor of the canyon and stopping for photos of the Queen of Maligne and Angel Icefalls. It’s a whole different world down here! Transfers, boots and cleats are provided. Free pick-up service from accommodation in Jasper

Option 2: Wildlife Discovery Tour
Big or small, there are lots of animals to see in Jasper! Elk, deer, sheep, goats, coyotes, wolves, and moose are just a sample of Jasper’s wild mountain fauna. Learn all about the ways these animals contribute to the rich diversity of the National Park and how they survive the mountain winters. Your guides are well versed in the history, geology, and ecology of the area and are happy to answer any questions you may have. As you travel through the Athabasca Valley they will show you some of the park’s most beautiful scenery, so have your camera ready to capture some amazing photos of the highlights of your visit. This tour is the perfect way to spend a morning and your best opportunity to see the wildlife of Jasper!
 

Day 7 : Jasper to Edmonton

Make your way to the station for your rail journey to Edmonton aboard VIA Rail’s famous “The Canadian” for a two night stay
 

Day 8 : Edmonton

A free day to explore Alberta’s capital city on your own. Perhaps you’ll head to the indoor malls, connected by a network of passageways so you don’t need to venture outside for a little retail therapy. Or maybe take a Segway or snowshoe tour of the Edmonton River Valley. If you’re in town on the right days maybe even take in a game and watch the Edmonton Oilers at the hockey rink.
 

Day 9 : Depart Edmonton - Arrive UK

Make your way to the airport in time to check-in for your homeward flight.
