Walks and Hikes
With over 23 hikes around Kangaroo Island there are trails to suit everybody. For those who are beginners to the more experienced, there are hikes ranging from 30 minutes to 8 hours or even days on the Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail lasting 5 days to be exact.
The Kangaroo Island Wilderness Trail... begins in the Flinders Chase National Park, and travels to Cape Bouguer Wilderness Protection Area going right through to the Kelly Hill Conservation Park. Visitors get to experience iconic attractions such as the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch whilst staying overnight in dedicated camping areas.
Coastal Activities
Picture magnificent un-spoilt cliffs which are pounded by surf to tranquil coves with glorious expanses of sand to secluded rocky estuaries - this beautiful island coastline has is all and more!
The possibilities for recreation are as equally diverse for swimmers, surfers, fishermen, wreck-divers, snorkelers, seafarers and wildlife lovers and of course people who simply love to feel sand between their toes, they all relish the Island fringes.

History & Museums
Captain Matthew Flinders, and his hungry crew members, discovered Kangaroo Island on 2 March 1802. They found no inhabitants but were compensated for this by the discovery of what they needed most of all - fresh food in the form of kangaroos!
The human history of the island, which started many thousands of years ago is full of suffering, endurance, privation, success, failure, courage and bravery.
