SYDNEY | AYERS ROCK | PORT DOUGLAS 

Welcome to one of the most iconic cities in the world, Sydney. Set on the shores of the harbour, Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, fondly named by locals as the “Coathanger” because of its arched design welcomes your arrival. Next stop Uluru, indigenous story-telling and a palette full of rainbow colours from dawn till dusk. The secret is to take a photo every five minutes as that is how often the colours will change. Final stop Port Douglas, whether you prefer to be on top or underneath the ocean, the Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef system will not disappoint, home to a myriad of marine life. Back on dry land and the rainforest beckons guests whether you prefer to take a guided walk, ride the sky rail or take the scenic railway.

Day 1-4 : UK - Singapore

Take your outbound flight and arrive in Singapore. The dynamic city state of Singapore is a great place to break your journey to Australia or New Zealand with its colourful blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture. Stroll along Orchard Road and indulge in Singapore's favourite pastime - shopping. With friendly and welcoming people and state-of-the-art infrastructure, a stay here will be a welcome break from a long flight.

Day 5-6 : Singapore - Sydney

Fly from Singapore to Sydney.  Enjoy a morning panoramic Sydney & Sydney harbour lunch cruise.

Day 7-8 : Sydney

Enjoy a morning backstage tour of the Sydney Opera house. This tour grants you unprecedented VIP backstage access to the Sydney Opera House. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the real life dramas behind this celebrated performing arts centre. Your guide will raise the curtain on what really goes on beyond the spotlight, revealing industry secrets that you will not hear anywhere else. You will walk in the footsteps of legends such as Ella Fitzgerald, Pavarotti, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Cate Blanchett, Vladimir Ashkenazy and the Foo Fighters. You might even get to stand on the world-famous Concert Hall stage, take up the conductors’ baton in the orchestra pit or get a sneak peek inside the stars’ dressing rooms. At the conclusion of your tour, enjoy breakfast and then make your own way to your Sydney accommodation.

Day 9 : Sydney - Ayers Rock

Ayers Rock is one of the most impressive landmarks in Australia. A huge chunk of sandstone and a ‘true’ monolith, it resides in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Ayers Rock is located down towards the southwest corner of the Northern Territory and close to the geographic centre of Australia.

Day 10 : Sydney

Set your alarm for an early start as you set off to visit 2 major landmarks in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Start with an amazing sunrise over Uluru as the Red Centre awakens in a magical array of colour. Continue your journey and hear of the local history as your guide and driver take you to Kata Tjuta and Waipa Gorge. The sandstone domes are believed to be over 500 million years old. You will be taken back to your accommodation to rest and relax before this evening’s tour. Once collected you will be driven to a viewing platform where a glass of wine is served as the sun sets over Uluru. After sunset, transfer to an exclusive barbecue site to enjoy dinner. Your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky. Return to your hotel.

Day 11 : Ayers Rock - Port Douglas

You will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cairns where you will be met and driven to Port Douglas, the gateway to 2 UNESCO World Heritage listed natural wonders, the Great Barrier Reef and the vast Daintree Rainforest. Stretch your legs on Four Mile beach and work up an appetite before heading to Macrossan Street which is lined with boutique shops and restaurants.

Day 12 : Port Douglas

Visit Low Isles, an idyllic, unspoilt coral cay island. Low Isles is a historic part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, named by Captain Cook in 1770, the cays were the site of the first extensive scientific study of a coral reef anywhere in the world and their landmark lighthouse has greeted visitors since 1878. In the calm waters of the island’s picturesque lagoon, a host of reef activities await. Discover the mysteries of marine life while snorkelling or glass bottom boat viewing. Take a guided beach walk, a snorkelling tour with a marine biologist, relax on the beach under a thatched umbrella or on the decks of your vessel. Upon arrival at Port Douglas Marina you will be transferred by coach to your Northern Beaches area accommodation.

Day 13-15 : Port Douglas

This tour travels north along the scenic route via Mossman to Cape Tribulation. Travel to the majestic Daintree River, where you will stop to enjoy an informative river cruise. Ascend the Alexandra Range and experience the rainforest on an elevated National Park Boardwalk with ample time for photographs and questions as you search for the elusive, rare and totally unique Southern Cassowary and other wildlife species. Stop at Cape Tribulation Beach, where there is time for a short stroll along the beach and boardwalk to the photographers platform overlooking the mountains and coast where the 'Rainforest meets the Reef. Return south, crossing the Daintree River by cable ferry and return to Port Douglas, where you will be transferred to your Port Douglas area accommodation.

Day 16 : Port Douglas - UK
