Where have you visited?
Mostly Europe so far – Greece, Menorca, Croatia, Cyprus, Italy, France, Portugal, Poland. I have also visited Morocco and New York.
Where’s been your favourite place?
It would be hard to choose between Morocco and Croatia, I loved both of these trips for different reasons.
Morocco – I took part in a 2 week charity expedition. We started in Marrakesh and then through the Atlas mountains, gorge walking, and passing through local villages where we had the opportunity to stay and dine with local families which really immersed us in the local culture. We also did volunteer work along the trip, painting a local boarding school and helping with renovations.
Croatia – We visited the area of Pula. It’s surrounded by beautiful local towns and villages and a stunning coastline. We hired a car and really went off the beaten track to explore in the hills. It was a great holiday to spend time with family.
Where’s next?
I want to start travelling further afield. Canada is a destination I really want to visit. My ideal itinerary would be a self-drive western tour to take in Banff and the stunning Lake Louise, Jasper, Whistler and also visit some local wineries in the Kelowna region. Or possibly do an Eastern tour and take in the autumn colours and stop in Quebec City, Montreal, and Toronto. I would also love to visit Thailand, and stay on a few of the different islands in the south.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy reading, I am also quite a creative person, so enjoy drawing and sewing and spending time with family and friends.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
Never give up and you can achieve anything you set your mind to!
