Where have you visited?
I have visited the southeast Asia including Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia travelling for 6 months which was an unforgettable experience. Learning so much about the people, the food and the countries as a whole. I had a 12 month working visa for Australia and am proud to say I travelled the whole circumference of Australia, in a 20 year old campervan, and also up from Adelaide to Alice Springs. Working along the way in a variety of jobs, including watermelon picking, pumpkin packing however the best job was looking after a German Sheppard dog called Zak. I have been to America a few times, my favourite place being Anna Maria Island.
Where’s been your favourite place?
I love Greece. Everything about it, the people, the food, the weather, the beaches, the history. I would love to go island hoping around the Cyclades islands for at least 6 weeks. Let’s hope I win the lottery.
Where’s next?
I am going to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks with my husband to celebrate our ‘big birthdays’ this year. Sri Lanka looks amazing and the tour we have planned offers a real varied experience and is a country we have always wanted to visit.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I have 2 grown up children so I feel I have more free time now as they both pursue their own lives and dreams, so we bought a puppy, of course we did. She is just an absolute joy. We love to walk her as a family, watch her grow, sit and cuddle her and watch her destroy everything in her path. I love to cook, especially Thai and Greek food, take as many holidays as I can, collect sea-glass and make little pictures for friends and family (they aren’t good enough to sell so I will keep practicing).
What is the best advice you have ever received?
“Before you act, you have freedom, but after you act, the effect of that action will follow you whether you want it to or not. That is the law of karma.” — Paramahansa Yogananda
