Day 1 : Arrive Bangkok

On arrival into Bangkok, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 : Bangkok

Today's sightseeing includes Wat Pho, the dazzling Grand Palace and a stroll through Chinatown. Later, take to the Chao Phraya River

Day 3 : Bridge Over the River Kwai

Enjoy the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the bizarre Railway Track Market before heading to Kanchanaburi. Stop at the bridge on the River Kwai and visit the Thai-Burmese Railway Museum.

Day 4 : Kanchanaburi

Drive to Hellfire Pass and visit the fascinating museum before a short walk. Step aboard an old locomotive to travel along a section of the Death Railway, passing through the Kwai Gorge. Return to Bangkok in the afternoon.

Day 5 : Ayutthaya

A sacred city and former royal capital, Ayutthaya today is a crumbled kingdom that has retained its bygone splendour. Return to Bangkok and fly to Chiang Rai.

Day 6 : Golden Triangle

Transfer to the area known as the Golden Triangle. Take a return boat ride on the Mekong over the border into Laos and visit Don Sao Island. Return to Chiang Rai and explore the market this evening.

Day 7 : Mae Salong Mountain

Travel to Mae Salong Mountain, known for its tea plantations. Enjoy a Yunnanese lunch before visiting Doi Tung Palace and Mae Fah Luang Garden.

Day 8 : Hmong Hilltribe Lodge

Explore the striking White Temple before continuing to the Chiang Mai province. Spend tonight at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, operated by Hmong villagers. Enjoy dinner and a Hmong folklore performance.

Day 9 : Chiang Mai

Depart for Mae Daeng and a leisurely bamboo rafting trip on the Mae Daang River. Visit Wiang Kum Kam and enjoy a walking tour of Chiang Mai.

Day 10 : Elephant Sanctuary

Spend the day at an ethical elephant sanctuary and retirement centre, where you can meet, feed and care for these rescued and elderly residents.

Day 11 : Wat Doi Suthep

Learn to cook traditional Thai cuisine and enjoy your lunch. Drive 1 hour to Wat Doi Suthep where you will have the option of climbing the Naga staircase, or catch the cable car to visit the exquisite golden pagoda. Enjoy dinner while watching a performance of traditional song and dance.

Day 12 : Depart Chiang Mai

Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return or onward flight.
