Location: This role is based out of our office in Manchester -  Trafford House, Old Trafford, Manchester, M32 0RS - Easy accessible via train/tram, bus and car (Free Parking). However, we offer a hybrid approach of working with a mixture of home-working and office-working.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your team including taking calls and ensuring all sales/conversions and targets are excelled.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed itineraries to exactly suit the customers’ requirements (both telephone and email enquiries).
  • Work closely with the Head of Reservations and other departments within the business to achieve business goals.
  • Motivate & support the team in achieving target sales & conversion.
  • Achieve own individual sales and conversion targets.
  • Support and develop individual team members including new starters to the team.
  • Ensure 121 coaching takes place regularly with your team members.
  • Support team queries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Improving brand & product awareness across the team by liaising with the Product Dept.
  • Attend Trading meetings and other meetings where applicable.
  • Ensure consistent service is delivered in line with company procedures across all destinations.
  • Train new and current staff on product awareness and supplier meetings.
  • Cover the Duty Manager on Saturdays as and when.
  • Be part of the Out of Hours and Crisis Management Team.
  • Manage the booking process to ensure efficiencies/service delivery through discussions with product and marketing.
  • Complete ad hoc projects when required by the business.
  • Support and cover holidays etc. for other destinations when applicable.
  • Monitor all team bookings daily for quality check and resolve where applicable.
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time.

About You:

We are looking for a positive individual with experience and passion for selling tailor-made long-haul holidays. Previous experience working for a retail travel agent or long-haul operator would be an advantage. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven sales experience working within the travel industry (min 3 years).
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to drive/achieve department targets including closing a sale.
  • Have a passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with ambition and drive to support the team to achieve their targets.
  • Take a solution-focused approach to problem-solving.

Contract / Working Hours:
Full time - Core hours of 08.55 am – 5.40 pm. However, flexibility will be required from time to time, Monday to Saturday (Sundays during the busy months).
