Your Itinerary
Day 1-3 : Auckland
Travel to Auckland where you will stay for 2 nights and have time to explore Auckland before your guided tour starts.
Hotel: Sudima Auckland City
Day 4 : Rotorua
You will meet your guide and fellow companions in Auckland before setting off south via the lush pastures of the Waikato to your first stop at Karangahake
Gorge en route to Rotorua. Stop at Lake Rotoiti board a unique ‘Airstream Caravan’ and enjoy a private cruise to natural hot pools.

Day 5 : Rotorua
Time to explore and discover everything Rotorua has to offer, including a treetop canopy, the famous geothermal area and Māori culture and arts. Enjoy a lakeside lunch with local Māori guides.
Day 6 : Tongaririo National Park
An exciting day of contrasts travelling through the volcanic landscape of the Central North Island. From the surreal geothermal moonscape of Wai-o-Tapu geothermal wonderland to the World Heritage landscapes of Tongariro National Park. Enjoy a walk at Lake Taupō and a choice of spectacular short walks in Tongariro National Park.

Day 7 : Wellington
Leave the volcanic plateau behind and head south through farmland and small rural towns. Continue down the coastline to the capital city Wellington.

Day 8 : Wellington
The day is yours to enjoy. Highly recommended is a visit to Te Papa National Museum. Wellington is the food lovers’ capital of New Zealand and also the spiritual home of Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit.
Day 9 : Nelson
Today cross the Cook Strait on the Interislander ferry to ‘Te Waipounamu’, the South Island. First stop is for a tasting and lunch in the heart of the worldfamous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc region before travelling on to Nelson via the beautiful Pelorus River.

Day 10 : Abel Tasman National Park
Abel Tasman is a highlight of this tour. A picnic lunch is included, you choose whether to join a scenic cruise or a cruise/ walk combo to explore a section of the coastal track, one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, with time to relax on the beach or take a dip!
Day 11 : Kaikōura
Heading towards Kaikōura the road hugs the rugged coastline between the Pacific Ocean and the Kaikōura Ranges. Your afternoon is free to take a whale watching flight or simply enjoy a walk along the peninsula to spot fur seals.

Day 12 : Aoraki/Mount Cook
Leaving the coast your tour heads inland to the Canterbury Plains where you will be a guest at a homestead lunch before continuing on to the spectacular Mackenzie Country.

Day 13 : Queenstown
Always a memorable stay on your day at Aoraki/Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest mountain. Take your pick from exploring the dramatic landscape on one of the many easy walking tracks. Alternatively, take a scenic flight or heli-hike on the Tasman Glacier. After lunch head over the Lindis Pass and onto Queenstown, the adventure capital of New Zealand.

Day 14 : Queenstown
Today is all about majestic Milford Sound, experiencing the Milford Road, a scenic cruise on the sound and a magical flight over the Southern Alps back to Queenstown is a day you will never forget.
Day 15 : Queenstown
Free day to make the most of the infinite choice of day tours and activities Queenstown has to offer. From lakeside walks, galleries, bike tours, food and wine and of course the famous adventure activities such as jet boating.
Day 16 : Wānaka
Just a short hop to leafy Arrowtown, where gold mining history comes alive beside the Arrow River. Then climb up the Crown Range for your last view of the beautiful Wakatipu basin. Arrive at the lakeside town of Wānaka where you have an afternoon of leisure.

Day 17 : Franz Josef
Today is a quintessential kiwi day, where else in the world can you visit the seaside, a rainforest and a glacier all in the same day?

Day 18 : Punakaiki
Your morning is free to discover Glacier Country and Westland. Walk to the Franz Josef Glacier Valley lookout or take a guided wildlife cruise on Ōkārito lagoon. Later head north towards Punakaiki via Hokitika.

Day 19 : Punakaiki
Paparoa National Park is very different to any other area on the trip, towering limestone cliffs and karst rock formations. You’ll have plenty of time to discover the Pancake Rocks and Blowholes.

Day 20 : Farewell to Christchurch
Traverse the Southern Alps before crossing the plains into the ‘Garden City’ of Christchurch where your tour ends with a camera full of memories and new friends made. Enjoy a nights stay at the Sudima Christchurch City before your flight home the next day.

Make your own way to the airport ready for your return flight back to the UK.
