Six Senses Laamu
The resort is located in the more remote and secluded Laamu Atoll. The Six Senses brand has a core ethos of five senses of sight, sound, touch, aroma and taste. The resort is eco-sensitive, and is designed to restore your glow and inner peace.
Sustainability is at the heart of every decision they make, and they ensure that they respect the local communities and ecosystems that surround the island. There are several underwater initiatives aimed at marine conservation including a junior marine biology program and a charity to protect manta rays and their habitat. On land, the resort is free of single use plastic, and they aim to create as little waste as possible with their own recycling on site.
Guests can indulge at the spa with luxurious treatments or immerse themselves into a private yoga program that can be tailored to each guest.
Families can create some incredible memories together, including a cinema under the stars, games, treasure hunts, cycling, and non-motorised water sports. Children are also invited to ‘The Den’ where they can do indoor and outdoor games, movies, junior baking, and arts and crafts.
Couples can lose themselves in paradise with a Robertson Crusoe picnic where they can have an entire island to themselves for the day, sail on a traditional dhoni cruise, or relax on the stunning powder soft sandbank.
There is a variety of cuisine on offer with exquisite restaurants serving a mix of eastern and western dishes. Guests can dine on a private sandbank or even fish for their own dinner.
The resort also has its own wine cellar, and wine tastings, wine dinners and wine pairings can be arranged.
