Day 1 : UK - Vancouver
On arrival in Vancouver make your way to your hotel for a 3-night stay.
Day 2-3 : Vancouver
Take time to explore historic Gastown and hop on the quaint water ferry to Granville Island to browse the fabulous market and food stalls. A cycle tour is a great way to discover Stanley Park, or perhaps head out on the water on a whale watching experience.
Day 4 : Rocky Mountaineer
Board the Rocky Mountaineer this morning and settle back into the glass-domed splendour of your GoldLeaf carriage. The train wends its way through the Fraser Valley and onwards through the Coast Mountains crossing the Fraser River and white waters of Hells Gate. Enjoy gourmet meals and a friendly, personable service from your onboard hosts before arriving in Kamloops, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 5 : Rocky Mountaineer - Banff
From Kamloops the train continues eastwards, with an ever-changing scenery flowing past your window. Spend time on the open-air viewing platform and see the landscape change as the Rockies appear before you. On arrival in Banff transfer to your hotel for a 4-night stay.
Day 6-8 : Banff
There is plenty of time to explore the charms of Banff. Take ride to the top of the gondola for spectacular views, or maybe head to beautiful Lake Louise, one of the most photographed spots in Canada. A memorable experience along the Icefields Parkway is included, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife and journey out onto the Athabasca Glacier on a unique Ice Explorer. If you’ve a head for heights, then you can also take a walk on the glass floor of the Glacier Skywalk.
Day 9 : Banff - UK
A private transfer will take you to Calgary for your return flight.
