Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Vancouver
Arrive at the Vancouver International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown Vancouver hotel.
Day 2 : Vancouver to Jasper (Rail)
This afternoon (12pm), check in at Pacific Central Station and board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the famous train journey to the majestic Canadian Rockies. Step back in time to the days of classic rail travel, riding in the original stainless steel ‘streamliner’ railcars made famous by the ‘Canadian’ in the 1950s. Each has been restored with air conditioning, a café car, lounge car, and access to the dome car.

By day, sit back in comfortable seating and enjoy the exclusive comfort of your own accommodation. Come evening, attendants will transform your quarters into cozy bunks or a bedroom. Don’t forget to visit the Dome Car – the true essence of travelling by train is all in the panoramic views. Day 3 : Arrive Jasper (Rail)
Arrive in Jasper at 8.00am and transfer to your hotel. The day is free to explore this unique alpine community. (breakfast included today onboard VIA Rail)
Day 4 : Jasper Wildlife Discovery Tour
Join a sightseeing excursion (included) to Jasper’s lesser known gems, and search for wildlife along the way. Moose, elk, sheep, goats and wolves are commonly sighted in Jasper National Park. Following the tour, the remainder of your day is free to enjoy the alpine town of Jasper.
Day 5 : Jasper Maligne Canyon Icewalk Tour
Enjoy a free day in Jasper. Many activities are available including walking trails, shopping, and dining, or you may choose to book a winter excursion through the concierge at your hotel. This evening experience the wonders of Maligne Canyon from the ground up! The canyon has withstood 10,000 years of erosion and has created a 50m gorge. Certified guides will lead groups of no more than 12 along the frozen canyon floor and its ice-clad limestone walls. Super soles and winter boots will keep you warm and secure as you explore this wonderland of rock and ice.
Please note: The ice walk tour normally operates mid-December - mid-April
Day 6 : Jasper to Toronto (Rail)
This morning (10am), board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ for the famous train journey across the prairies to Toronto.
Day 7 : On-board VIA Rail
Watch the scenery change as you travel through the prairies and great plains of Canada. Overnight onboard the train (breakfast, lunch & dinner included today).
Day 8 : On-board VIA Rail
Today is spent crossing the scenic lake lands and forests of Ontario. Overnight onboard the train (breakfast, lunch & dinner included today).
Day 9 : Arrive Toronto (Rail)
Arrive in Toronto at 2pm. The rest of the day is free to explore Toronto on your own breakfast & lunch included today).
Day 10 : Niagara Falls Day Tour
Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour through the scenic Niagara Peninsula to Niagara Falls. Highlights of the tour include a lunch buffet overlooking the falls, and the “Journey Behind the Falls” attraction. Continue on along River Road and the Niagara Gorge to the historic community of Niagara-on-the-Lake before returning to Toronto. (Lunch is included today)
Day 11 : Toronto
A check-out from your hotel concludes this memorable rail adventure.
