Your Itinerary
Day 1 : UK - Calgary
Fly to Calgary and on arrival make your way to your downtown hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore “Stampede City”.
Day 2 : Calgary to Lake Louise
Leave the Stampede City of Calgary on the express service to Banff, where you’ll arrive to a picturesque resort town surrounded by the Rocky Mountains. Located within Banff National Park, Banff is renown for its scenic natural beauty and stunning wildlife.
Day 3 : Lake Louise to Jasper

Option 1. Discover Banff & Its Wildlife Tour + Banff Gondola
Explore the natural wonders near the town of Banff on this half-day, small-group tour. Day 7 : Rocky Mountaineer Lake Louise – Kamloops
Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer in SilverLeaf from the resort town of Lake Louise to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey takes you through a spectacular array of scenery as you travel between the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranch lands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the Spiral Tunnels, the Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass and Craigellachie – where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven. Overnight in Kamloops. Breakfast and Lunch are served onboard.
Day 8 : Rocky Mountaineer Kamloops to Vancouver
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. On arrival in Vancouver this evening make your way to your hotel for a two night stay. Breakfast and lunch are served onboard today.
Day 9 : Vancouver
A day to explore Vancouver, voted Canada’s most liveable city. It’s a young, friendly city with countless natural charms in close proximity. Shop on chic Robson Street or explore the funky
Granville Island with its market and artists enclave. Discover the surrounding peaks of the Coastal Mountains or go whale watching on the Pacific Ocean
Day 10 : Alaska Cruise
Make your way to the Vancouver cruise terminal to check in for your cruise. Your Holland America Line vessel sets sail at 5pm this evening.
Day 11 : Inside Passage
A day at sea as you cruise the British Columbia coast towards the Alaska Panhandle. Glide past rocky headlands, through the frigid waters of the Inside Passage close to steep mountain walls in one of the world’s most picturesque sea-lanes.
Day 12 : Juneau
Your ship will dock in Juneau today, Alaska’s capital city born of the gold rush of 1880; today it is the scenery that is the town’s fortune with wild mountains, fjords and glaciers. Wildlife is abundant – you may spot humpback and killer whales, sea lions, porpoise, eagles and deer and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier is close by.
Day 13 : Skagway
At the height of the Klondike Gold Rush Skagway was a raucous frontier hub packed with trading posts, saloons and guesthouses. As the gold rush faded into the 1900s, so did Skagway—but today it has been reinvigorated as a gateway for a new kind of visitor: those looking to explore Alaska’s colourful history, pristine wildlife and unrivalled natural beauty.
Day 14 : Glacier Bay
Wake to the breath-taking sight of Glacier Bay National Park with its formidable rivers of ice. A local ranger will join you on board to explain the geological wonders and point out some of the diverse wildlife as you cruise through this stunning region. Listen for the sound of a glacier “calving” – once you hear it you’ll never forget it.
Day 15 : Ketchikan
Arrive in Ketchikan today, a lovely town that is set right on the shores of the Tongass Narrows, with many colourful shops and houses built right over the water. After breakfast, disembark and set off to discover this charming town.
Day 16 : Inside Passage
Spend today cruising south through the majestic landscape of the Inside Passage. Take the time to relax on-board as you glide past the icy fjords, watching for the abundant native wildlife.
Day 17&18 : Disembark Vancouver - UK
Arrive in Vancouver this morning and disembark. Make your way to the airport for your flight home
