Nimmo Bay is an exclusive, family owned resort on the northwest coast of British Columbia, within the Great Bear Rainforest region. Open from May to October, the resort is quite possibly one of the best places to fully immerse yourself into Canada’s wilderness settings allowing you to experience seeing wildlife in the most unique of ways.
How to get there: A truly remote experience and getting here is part of the adventure. Located north of Vancouver Island, Nimmo Bay Resort is accessible only by air or water, there is no road access. We’ll happily discuss the best options with you when you call.

Sleep
With just nine cabins, this is an intimate and special experience. The spacious yet cosy solid wood cabins comprise have been carefully constructed with the surrounding environment and the comfort of guests in mind. Intertidal cabins allow you to experience the rise and fall of the tide right beneath you. The forest cabins are located beside the stream, so you will fall asleep to the sound of the nearby cascading waterfall.
Eat
Food is an integral part of the guest experience at Nimmo Bay. The sustainably minded and environmentally modern Pacific Northwest menu emphasises clean, fresh flavours based on locally caught seafood, foraged plants, pasture-raised B.C. meats, and produce carefully sourced from selected Certified Organic farmers.
Explore
The truly unique experience here is to explore by helicopter. The resort pilots/ guides will take you to 10,000-year-old glaciers, snow-capped mountain tops, old growth forests, white sand beaches, remote islands, and isolated rivers. At each location you may find yourself fishing, heli-hiking, swimming, rafting, drifting, learning, playing, taking photos, or wildlife viewing. Each adventure is tailored to the specific desires of each group and the possibilities are truly endless.
