New Brunswick is home to nine Provinvical Parks, from peaceful beachside strolls to heart-pounding wilderness adventures, your holiday options are endless. Take in breathtaking views of sunsets and sunrises over the Northumberland Strait at Murray Beach or defy gravity at Sugarloaf where the downhill bike park offers Atlantic Canada’s only lift-service mountain bike trail.

New River Beach 
This park is the perfect spot to camp, admire breathtaking coastal islands and kayak the Bay of Fundy. The beaches and coastal trails at New River Beach abound with spectacular evidence of the natural formation of the bay’s high tides. Wade in the tidal pools, search for crabs, periwinkles, whelks and starfish. Enjoy the unsupervised saltwater beach, nature’s panorama of offshore islands, fishing boats and wildlife. Gulls, Eider ducks and cormorants… large, lustrous-black seabirds nest offshore and along the two circuits of hiking trails. You’ll find tonnes of natural history preserved and just waiting to be discovered along the shoreline at New River Beach Provincial Park. 

Sugarloaf Provincial Park
Situated in New Brunswick’s Appalachian Mountain region, Sugarloaf Provincial Park is the perfect destination for a family-friendly getaway or wilderness adventure. Hike to the summit of Sugarloaf Park’s 305-m (1,000-ft.) mountain and see the city of Campbellton spread out below. The junction of Chaleur Bay and the Restigouche River create a waterscape of exceptional beauty, and the rolling hills of the Gaspé Peninsula in Quebec on the other side of the water will have you in awe. This park contains more than 25 km (16 mi.) of hiking and biking trails, with the 4-km (2.5-mi.) Terry Fox Trail winding around the base of the mountain. Sugarloaf’s downhill bike park offers Atlantic Canada’s only lift-service mountain bike park. Trails range from beginner to expert, and they’re jam-packed with berms, table tops, drops, step ups and wooden features. The park’s spacious ski lodge features a licensed restaurant. The lodge is available for business meetings, weddings and other private functions

The Anchorage 
Located on Grand Manan Island, a prosperous and charming island in the Bay of Fundy discover natural attractions, exciting adventures and breathtaking scenery. With picturesque hiking and cycling trails, you will be able to learn about the geology of the island and the wildlife that resides there. Keep an eye out for the interpretive displays, birdwatching blinds, salmon cages and breaching whales in the nearby ocean. Explore the Red Point Trail boardwalk or any of the unique "Grand Mananesque" Long Pond, Great Pond or Bagley trails. Walk on the ocean floor. Find seabird nests, whale-watch, hike the towering heights of a rugged coastline or visit the lighthouses. 

Murray Beach
Murray Beach is an ideal spot to relax during your tour of the southeastern portion of New Brunswick's Acadian Coastal Drive. You'll want to take in the breathtaking views of sunrises and sunsets over the mighty Northumberland Strait, enjoy stunning vistas of the world-famous Confederation Bridge and visit the nearby Cape Jourimain Nature Centre. Birdwatchers will fall in love with the avian bounty to be found in this area.There are lots of activities and attractions nearby, including sea kayaking, farmers markets, lighthouses, covered bridges, festivals and historic sites.

Mount Carleton
A challenging mix of Acadian woods and mountain peaks, Mount Carleton has more than 42,000 acres of pristine wilderness waiting for today’s explorer. This habitat is home to more wild animal species than any other part of the province. At least 100 different types of birds and 30 species of mammals live here. A botanist’s eye will also discover a number of rare plants, including Alpine blueberry and Bigelow’s sedge on the slopes of Mount Carleton itself.

Roosevelt Campobello
Roosevelt Campbello International Park is a charming, natural wonder located on Campobello Island in the Bay of Fundy. The late U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt spent his summers on Campobello Island, where he loved to sail, hike, and picnic. He first visited as a boy, and later with his wife, Eleanor, and their children. It's easy to see what brought the man who became a great American president back to this Canadian island year after year - the unspoiled beauty of the spectacular Bay of Fundy is simply irresistible. Tour the Roosevelt summer home, a truly impressive residence with 34 rooms. Guides are on hand to answer your questions about everything from the design and construction of the house, to the day-to-day life of the Roosevelt family.

Parlee Beach

One of North America’s finest beaches, this park boasts the warmest salt water in Canada. You’ll be amazed at the variety of activities offered, including a supervised swimming beach, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, football, a sand-sculpture competition, and daily scheduled sports activities.

With it’s selection of shops, resturants and accommodation, the nearby small town of Shediac is a perfect place to relax after a long day at the beach… and don’t forget to have your photo taken with the ‘world’s biggest lobster’.
