Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Arrive Banff
On arrival in Calgary collect your rental car and head Banff for three nights at the Hotel Fairmont Banff Springs.
Day 2&3 : Banff
You can see the foothills of the Rockies, snow-capped and glistening, as you leave Calgary and as you enter Canada’s very first national park, you’ll come across Banff, an all year-round resort town set at the side of the Bow River and surrounded by the magnificent splendour of the Rocky Mountains. Visit the museums and galleries, Cave and Basin National Historic Site or stroll along Banff Avenue; enjoy the shopping, the restaurants and bars, and in winter, the après ski.
On one day enjoy a round of golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel’s Stanley Thompson course. This Alberta golf course offers just two simple things for the perfect golf vacation. First, a breathtaking view in every direction and second, a magnificent layout that thrills every golfer fortunate enough to spend a day here. Amateurs and professionals alike are constantly amazed by its challenging layout. From hole design to optical illusions created by the surrounding mountains, this Alberta golf course will delight and tempt you.
Day 4 : Banff - Jasper
Leave Banff behind this morning and drive along the most scenic highway in North America - the Icefield Parkway. Visit the Columbia Icefield for an included Ice Explorer ride on the Athabasca Glacier and walk on the Glacier Skywalk. Along the way perhaps stop at Bow & Peyto Lakes, the Crowfoot Glacier and the Athabasca Falls before arriving in the mountain town of jasper for a three night stay. Your hotel, the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, is a short drive from the town and set on its own golf course.
Day 5&6 : Jasper
Originally a railway town, Jasper’s unpretentious small-town charm has a timeless appeal. Surrounded by towering mountains, crystalline lakes, and abundant wildlife, it’s no wonder the national park is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is the perfect base to explore Jasper National Park. Whether you want to relax and unwind or find the perfect place to camp out under the stars, Jasper is the place to do it. There’s a plethora of activities to enjoy, from hiking and biking to horse riding to wildlife viewing. If you want to act as the locals do, head to a restaurant that serves up local game like bison.
On one day enjoy a round of golf at Jasper Park Lodge set most splendidly in the rugged Canadian Rocky Mountains of Alberta overlooking the crystal waters of Lake Beauvert. Canada’s most famous and most revered architect, Stanley Thompson, literally moved the earth to create Jasper Park in 1925. Stunning snow-capped mountain peaks are now aligned with Jasper’s fairways which are set in the valley which in turn provides thrilling lakeside views. Few golf courses in the world can match the awe inspiring Jasper Park Lodge experience.
Day 7 : Jasper – Lake Louise
In the heart of the magnificent Banff National Park, surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks is the small resort village of Lake Louise. The big attraction, though, is four kilometres away. The vivid turquoise waters of glacier fed Lake Louise, “the Jewel of the Rockies”, are recognised the world over. You may have seen pictures of Lake Louise, but nothing will prepare you for seeing the beauty of this magnificent lake in person. With the iconic Fairmont Château Lake Louise at one end, the stunning Victoria Glacier at its head and mountains all around, this is one of the world’s most photographed lakes and a “must-see” on any Rockies itinerary. You spend your final night in Alberta at the sumptuous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in a deluxe lake view room. You will remember the stunning views from your room for years to come.
Day 8 : Lake Louise – Calgary
Drive to Calgary airport and return your car in time to check in for your flight.
