You will have an opportunity to view the Northern Lights each evening weather depending. Each day, you’ll return home to the wood-fire heated log lodge, sumptuous local cuisine at the Lazy Bear Café, and your private room with all the modern amenities.

Day 6
Day 1 : Winnipeg
Make your way to your Winnipeg hotel to check-in, then enjoy a free day to explore Winnipeg.
Day 2 : Winnipeg - Churchill
Check-out from Winnipeg hotel and transfer to airport for departure to Churchill. Upon arrival in Churchill check into Lazy Bear Lodge. You will then embark on a Cultural and Heritage Tour of the Churchill area, including historic Cape Merry and an outside tour of the Polar Bear Jail (approx. 2-3 hours). After this meet a real-life dog musher. He and his wife will regale you with entertaining stories and fill you in on the history of dog mushing while you enjoy local treats! Take a short but exhilarating ride, pulled by the dogs on a summer cart.

Day 3 : Churchill
Today you will soar over the vast tundra in a helicopter while enjoying views of the magnificent coastline of Hudson Bay and the town of Churchill. Look for Polar Bears, Beluga Whales, Moose, Caribou, Red and Arctic Fox, Ptarmigan and Arctic Hare. Later today you will receive a Parks Canada presentation.

Day 4 : Churchill
Another day filled with activities begin by taking a cruise down the Churchill River, to meet and greet our “Ambassadors of the North”, the gentle and curious Beluga Whales. Then visit the Itsanitaq Museum and learn about the customs, traditions and history of the Indigenous people. The museum boasts an exceptional collection of Inuit carvings created from whalebone, soapstone, and antler. Later in the day, hop on a Tundra Tour to the Churchill Wildlife Management Area aboard our Arctic Crawlers™. Don’t be surprised if you see Polar Bears “up close and personal.” Next, experience the beautiful fall colours in Churchill on a Boreal Forest walking tour with an interpretive talk.

Day 5 : Churchill - Winnipeg
Today is your final day in Churchill and you will enjoy an interpretive guided hike to the Rocket Range as well as a walking tour of the Churchill Northern Studies Centre. Check-out from Lazy Bear Lodge and transfer to airport to depart for Winnipeg. Upon arrival in Winnipeg, check-in to your hotel, for a final night.

This morning check-out from your Winnipeg hotel and make your way to the airport for your flight home.
