Your Itinerary
Day 1 : Calgary
Arrive in Calgary and check into Sandman Calgary centre for 4 nights. Once you have settled, make your way to Calgary Tower. Officially opened in 1968 the Calgary Tower has become the city’s most identifiable physical landmark. One of the first towers of its kind you will gain the best views of Calgary from the top stretching as far as the distant Rocky Mountains on a clear day. During the 1988 Winter Olympic Games a flame burned at the top of the tower making it the world’s largest Olympic Torch. Step out onto the glass viewing floor 525 feet above the ground for thrilling views directly below and be sure to check out the theatre room for a fly through immersive video capturing the beauty of Alberta.
Day 2 : Inglewood Edibles
Today you will take part in the first of two foodie tours included in this tour. Savour in a day of culinary exploration as you dine at some of Calgary’s best restaurants and explore some of Inglewood’s speciality shops. The tour includes a sit down two course lunch, knife skills and spice demonstrations along with four other tastings to sample Alberta’s signature foods, Toast the day with an inclusive signature cocktail and parting gift.
Day 3 : Historic Downtown Walking Tour
Calgary’s downtown which started as a frontier town has grown into a lively urban centre. Walk the streets or along the +15 skywalk network as you trace the past and present of Calgary. Your guide will navigate areas such as Stephen Avenue Mall, the Bow River Pathway and more as your guide provides an experience google maps could never deliver. Discover Calgarians favourite food spots, hideouts, favourite shopping spots and access to free public transport for post tour enjoyment. This tour is approximately 2-3 km long and travels at an easy pace.
Day 4 : Savour 17 Ave SW
Today you will explore 17 Ave SW, one of Calgary’s coolest neighbourhoods brimming with life and trendy stores for your second foodie tour. Included is food and beverage at six internationally themed restaurants as your guide shares stories about the food and area. Tour CIBO restaurant as you meet the chef who will teach you about the years it took to perfect their pizza crust and delicious toppings.
Day 5 : Depart Calgary
This morning say your final goodbyes to the city you have got to know over the last few days before making your own way to the airport.
