Day 1 : UK - Calgary

Depart the UK for Calgary, on arrival a private transfer will take you to the Fairmont Palliser for the night.

Day 2&3 : Calgary – Moraine Lake

Pick up your rental car this morning for the easy drive to Moraine Lake. Follow either the Trans-Canada Highway or the more scenic 1A Highway. Moraine Lake Lodge sits on the shores of Moraine Lake. Known for its iridescent turquoise colour, Moraine Lake has become known as The Jewel of the Rockies. With 2 nights here there is plenty of time to enjoy the wealth of activities including hiking, canoeing, fishing, river rafting and spend time at Lake Louise. Your base is beautiful Moraine Lake Lodge.

Day 4 : Moraine Lake – Banff

It’s just a short drive to Banff. Choose the Bow Valley Parkway, where there is an option to take a hike at Johnston Canyon to either the upper or lower falls.

Day 5&6 : Banff

The next 2 days are free to explore. On your 2nd day a full day tour to the Columbia Icefields is included. Experience the power of glaciers up-close on this exciting tour. Travel on a massive Ice Explorer onto an ancient glacier and step out onto ice that is deep enough to bury the Eiffel Tower. Stand in the sky at the Glacier Skywalk, a curved glass walkway that stretches 30 metres from the sheer face of a cliff and hangs mid-air.

Day 7 : Banff – Waterton Park

Travel south to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981, the site has been used continuously by aboriginal peoples of the plains for more than 5,500 year and is one of the world’s oldest, largest and best-preserved buffalo jump’s known to exist. Continue south to Cardston where the Remington Carriage Museum is located - North America’s largest museum of horse-drawn transportation. From Cardston, it’s a short 45-minute drive to Waterton Lakes National Park. This beautiful park is a nature enthusiast and photographer’s paradise.

Day 8 : Waterton Lakes National Park

The day is yours to discover the wonders of this beautiful region. You may wish to travel to Montana’s Glacier National Park (the U.S. half of this International Peace Park) via the famous Going to the Sun Road, an astonishing feat of engineering and spectacular scenery as well.

Day 9&10 : Waterton Lakes National Park – Drumheller

Head north along Highway 2 to Drumheller. If time allows break the journey in Nanton, where you can wander down the Antique and Art Walk of Alberta. Before reaching Drumheller, you will travel through First Nations “reserve land” allowing an up-close look at how the First Nations’ people live. A special treat is a stop at the Blackfoot Crossing Historical Park, which provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to explore First Nations Culture in Alberta. With 2 days in Drumheller there is plenty of time to discover the dinosaur capital of the world. The Royal Tyrrell Museum is Canada’s only museum dedicated to palaeontology, it’s a remarkable walk back through time.

Day 11 : Drumheller – Calgary

Return to Calgary today, there is time to enjoy this vibrant city with its western vibes, for one last night in Canada.

Day 12 : Calgary – UK

Return your car to the airport in time for your return flight.
