1. Niagara Falls

No trip to Ontario is complete without a visit to the majestic and thundering Niagara Falls. 2. Toronto’s CN Tower

The CN Tower is Canada's most recognisable icon and defines the Toronto skyline. This is the tallest free-standing structure in the western hemisphere and one of the most popular attractions for tourists and locals of all ages alike.

3. Algonquin Provincial Park

With a vast interior of maple hills, rocky ridges as well as thousands of lakes and rivers, this famous provincial park boasts stunning scenery and diverse wildlife.
 

The best way to explore the interior of this park is by paddle or foot, and lucky visitors can be sure to spot Canadian icons like the Moose and Beaver. We recommend to stay in one of the three traditional lodge accommodations in Algonquin Park, where you will be able to relax and recharge in this pristine Ontario wilderness.

4. Lake Superior Provincial Park

Located near Wawa, this park is a natural treasure where you can explore some of the local fauna, such as moose, black bear and Canadian Lynx. Hike down to Agawa Rock, one of the most well known Pictograph sites in Canada, found within Lake Superior Provincial Park. The area is also one of the most widely visited Indigenous archaeological sites in Canada. The majority of the red ochre paintings from the Agawa site date back centuries.

Furthermore, this park also holds some incredible indigenous history, with over 150km of maintained canoe routes and 130km of hiking trails.

5. National Gallery of Canada

Situated in a stunning glass and granite building in Ottawa, that mirrors the traditional Canadian Parliament Buildings, admire the finest collections of indigenous and Canadian art in the world.

Known for world-class special exhibitions, the National Gallery of Canada is also home to European art and strong collections of Asian and international work as well.

6. Muskoka

Filled with striking lakes and abundant wildlife, quaint towns with plenty of resort accommodations, dining and shopping options, golf courses as well as attractions like the RMS Segwun Boat Tour, Muskoka is the luxury gateway of choice. Unique privacy, and outdoor activities for all ages, make this the perfect place for a tranquil escape.

7. The Blue Mountains

8. St Jacobs

Plan a visit to St. Jacobs, one of Ontario’s charming small towns, just 1 hour drive west of Toronto. There's a popular Farmers market open year-round on Thursdays and Saturdays, as well as Tuesdays in the Summer. Here you'll be able to see old order Mennonite farmers traveling from and to the market in their horse and buggy. St. Jacobs Market is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in local food, handmade crafts, and unique shopping experiences in Ontario. A top tip from the locals is to try the freshly made apple fritters or kettle chips on offer throughout the market.

In addition to the market, the town of St. Jacobs has a number of shops, restaurants, and attractions, including The Mennonite Story Interpretive Centre which continues to spark the interest of diverse visitors from across Canada and the world. Visitors to The Mennonite Story have the opportunity to take part in multimedia presentations, interactive displays, as well as short video or film presentations.

9. Pukaskwa National Park

Pukaskwa is one of six National Parks in Ontario and is home to unforgettable coastal hiking trails, stunning beaches and much more. Pukaskwa National Park is known for its rugged terrain, stunning vistas, and diverse wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, and kayaking.

10. Thousand Islands

The 1,000 Islands are known for their stunning natural beauty, with clear blue waters, lush forests, and rocky islands dotted across the landscape. There are a number of ways to explore this beautiful region which shared between Ontario and Upstate New York - our recommendation would be by taking a boat cruise which will give you glimpse at the many cottage/summer homes on these islands or visit Boldt Castle, the stunning historic mansion located on Heart Island.
