Designed by five-time British Open winner Peter Thomson, the 18-hole, par 71 Hamilton Island Golf Course is said to be one of the most challenging in the world.  Strung along the spectacular ridges and steep valleys of Dent Island, the course takes full advantage of all Mother Nature has given us.

For those willing to take on the challenge, the course boasts a variety of obstacles – roguish winds; unnavigable bushland; people have even called the 14th hole, the ‘Valley of Death’. Despite it sounding rather scary, it has to be said that this golf course is a ‘must-do’ for any golfer of any experience level. As you play, look out to see stunning views of the surrounding Whitsunday Islands and Coral Sea, then, after a hard day’s golfing, head to the contemporary Clubhouse to relax, unwind and enjoy a spectacular meal.
