Location: This role is based out of our office in Manchester -  Trafford House, Old Trafford, Manchester, M32 0RS - Easy accessible via train/tram, bus and car (Free Parking). However, we offer a hybrid approach of working with a mixture of home-working and office-working.

The Role:

You will be responsible for maximising yield on airfare content in bookings, assisting & coaching the Reservations & Operations teams along with actively communicating offers & incentives from airlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum yield on airfare elements of bookings and maintain a record of additional margins made.
  • Quality checks air part of all new bookings.
  • Communicate all new airline tactical offers to the Res team.
  • Assist Res with the air part of new bookings when help is required.
  • Train new staff on Amadeus and how to make bookings and quote fares.
  • Regularly coach the Res team on airfares.
  • Liaise with airlines to resolve any booking problems with the Operations Team.
  • Assist ticketing to resolve any pricing issues.
  • Assist product in putting together tactical offers for promotion externally and communicate internally.
  • Have overall control of all out-of-date range bookings to maximise yield when seats are bookable.
  • Analyse data from 3rd parties (Aviate & Faremine) to see what volume we do to try & get direct contracts with airlines.
  • Responsibility for checking BSP link and dealing with any ADMs / ACM's and querying any discrepancies.
  • Monitoring and Communicating Fuel Surcharge increases.
  • Any other duties that may arise.

About You:

We are looking for a positive individual with experience and passion for selling tailor-made long-haul holidays. Previous experience working for a retail travel agent or long-haul operator would be an advantage. 

Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent Amadeus knowledge.
  • Extensive airfares knowledge in terms of contact fares/IT fares/RTW fares.
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to drive/achieve department targets by assisting with the air element.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Take a solution-focused approach to problem solving.

Contract / Working Hours:
Full-time (38.75 hours per week) Core hours of 08.55am – 5.40pm however flexibility will be required from time to time, 5 days between Monday & Saturday (Sundays during the busy months) based at Trafford House, Old Trafford, Manchester.
